Training Methods
Fast Focusing Center therapists evaluate and treat each client based on their specific needs. Treatment evolves to include the client’s progress and newly presenting symptoms or issues.
Typically, training will include the following:
- Evaluation: A therapist will evaluate a new client using a variety of techniques to determine how best to treat them.
Evaluation is an ongoing process throughout our training to ensure that we’re always using the most effective techniques for the client’s current condition.
- Neurofeedback: Our training utilizes a new neurofeedback technology that has proven very effective in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Rather than playing a game, as used for the treatment of ADD/ADHD, this form of neurofeedback involves using sound to train the brain.
- Brain Gym (Edu-K): Where needed, we use Brain Gym techniques to fine tune training where needed.
- Thought Field Therapy: Thought Field Therapy is particularly useful in treating the issues that arise around closed head injuries such as poor self-esteem and communication issues.
- Neuro-Linguistic Programming: Fast Focusing Therapists use NLP similarly to Thought Field Therapy, evaluating the client’s response and replacing negative or harmful thought patterns with positive or productive ones.
- Self-Help: When the client’s training is considered complete, Fast Focusing Center therapists will prescribe activities for the client to ensure their long-term success.
